Mr David Lock

David Lock is an experienced leader in international higher education. He currently serves as Education Director of Gulf Conferences, Chair of Gulf Education Conferences, and Secretary General of the Magna Charta Observatory. Previously, he held positions at the UK’s Leadership Foundation for Higher Education, where he led projects with various countries and regional associations. David played a crucial role in implementing national higher education reforms and fostering partnerships between universities. He was the founding Registrar and Acting Chief Executive of the British University in Dubai, and has held senior administrative roles at the University of Huddersfield and the University of Hull.

Hanny Alshazly is the Vice President for the Middle East and Africa at Ellucian, a global education technology company. He is committed to improving the quality of education worldwide and empowering executives to build unified digital campuses. With extensive experience in online education, Hanny serves on various educational boards and is a regular speaker at conferences. He has received several awards and recognitions, including the Distinguished Alumni Award from Athabasca University, where he obtained his Master of Education. Hanny holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science with a focus on Business Administration from Dalhousie University.
