Dr. Jameel Hasan

With a doctoral degree in quality for higher education and a concentration in strategic quality matters, Dr Hasan has over 12 years of experience in higher education as a quality practitioner, programme reviewer, managing enhancement programmes, and developing policies. Dr Hasan believes that quality is a critical component of higher education institutions and must be based on ongoing dialogue, contextualised to the context, and driven by academics.
In his current position as Acting Director of Quality and Standards at Bahrain Polytechnic, Dr Hasan leads and oversees academic policies, enhancement programmes and the digital transformation of teaching and learning activities.

Mr. Martin Creel

Martin Creel is a proven innovator and instructional leader known for designing and implementing multiple global signature initiatives for Discovery Education (DE). His focus has been on the student – establishing a high level of learning for each student and then conceptualizing and developing the tools for teachers, school, and national K-12 leaders to help students reach those goals. Most recently he has led DE digital instructional reform programs in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Chile. In February Creel was named a Top 100 EdTech Influencer by EdTech Digest in the United States.

Professor. Wafi Haj Majid

Dr. Wafi Haj Majid is a highly respected professor at the Global University of Beirut and a member of prestigious research academies across the Middle East. He has delivered guest lectures at renowned universities such as Harvard and Birmingham. With expertise in evaluating academic performance, he plays a vital role in maintaining international quality standards in the linguistic field. Dr. Majid actively contributes to various academic associations, advisory boards, and editorial boards. His published works focus on classical Arabic grammar, prosody, and rhetoric. He has received multiple honors, including the Arabic Language service excellence award and the Obada International Prize for distinguished scientists and researchers in social sciences.

Dr. Asmaa Al Fadala

Dr. Asmaa Al Fadala is a respected figure in the field of education, policy development, and research. Currently serving as the Director of Research and Content Development at WISE and a visiting fellow at Cambridge University, she has over twenty years of experience in K-12 and higher education. Dr. Al Fadala is involved in various projects and initiatives, including leadership support for school improvement, global advocacy for educational leadership policy, and research on learner and educator development. She holds a Ph.D. and M.Phil in Educational Leadership and Policy from Cambridge University and has authored books on educational reform. With extensive involvement in advisory roles, committees, and boards, Dr. Al Fadala is dedicated to advancing education and making a positive impact on learning worldwide.

Ms. Svenia Busson

Svenia Busson is a global Learning Innovation explorer, she travelled to 19 countries to find the most innovative teaching and learning practices. She is the author of ‘Exploring the Future of Education’ a book about Edtech and education innovations from Europe and founded LearnSpace, a Learning Innovation Hub in Paris, Edtech France and the European Edtech Alliance. She is now building a new Edtech VC fund to invest in the most promising startups in the field.

Professor. Anas Alsoud

Anas is a professor of Informatics with expertise in electronic business and commerce. He holds a BSc in computer information systems, an MSc in Managing Information Technology, and a PhD in Informatics. Since joining Al-Ahliyya Amman University in 2012, Anas has conducted research on e-business, e-government, and cloud computing in developing countries. He has held various leadership positions, including head of e-business and MIS departments, dean of student affairs, and currently serves as the assistant to the president for foreign affairs, director of the center of innovation and excellence, and director of the global engagement center. Anas is also involved in international accreditation and rankings for universities, serving as an international advisory board member and working on rating and ranking systems.

Mr. Nicholas Cuthbert

Nicholas is a leading voice in international education and Director of Research and Insight for The PIE. He previously worked for 15 years in international development for Nottingham Trent University before pivoting, The PIE to leadership roles within the private student recruitment sector. He now works as an NED and advisor for various stakeholders, exploring the digital transformation of the industry and connecting the dots between public and private sector partnerships. He is passionate about entrepreneurship, graduate talent and the power of peer recruitment.

Daniel Bacelic

Daniel Bacelic is an education industry professional with a focus on driving innovation and cloud adoption. With over a decade of experience, he works on alliances, partnerships, and solutions that enhance services for students. Daniel holds an MBA from Henley Business School and BA degrees in finance and marketing. He has been involved in successful projects including infrastructure initiatives, education governance, remote learning, and digital classrooms. His expertise extends to nationwide e-school projects and connecting remote schools in rural areas.

Dr. Gerry Hanley

Gerry Hanley, Ph.D., is the Executive Director of MERLOT and SkillsCommons, digital libraries of teaching and learning resources. He is also the Director of the Center for Usability in Design and Accessibility at California State University Long Beach. As a Professor Emeritus of Psychology, Gerry teaches Human Factors and leads projects for industry, education, and government agencies. He has received prestigious awards, including induction into the United States Distance Learning Association’s Hall of Fame. Gerry has held various leadership positions in academic technology and online education, creating programs and scaling online degree offerings. He holds degrees in Experimental/Cognitive Psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Mr. Kamran Robert Kardan

Kamran Robert Kardan is the Founder and CEO of Knowledge E, a company that provides professional services to information professionals in the MENA region and beyond. He has 20 years of experience in the publishing industry and has worked closely with top consortia, libraries, and research institutions. Kamran is passionate about learning societies and has initiated various special development projects. He has also launched Zendy.io, an online library platform that enhances research discovery and collaboration by removing access barriers.
