Mr Hamed Oussama Salhi has a wide range of professional experience. He is head of Student Department, Educational, Science and Cultural Affairs at the Embassy of Algeria in London. He  was  in  charge  of  several  legal,  bilateral  and  multilateral  dossiers  at  the  Algerian Ministry  of  Foreign  Affairs and before that was posted in Spain. 

Before  joining  the  Algerian  MFA,  Mr  Salhi  was  Deputy Director  at  the  Algerian  Ministry of Labour, in  charge  of  training  and skills development.

Mr  Salhi  currently action focuses on developing many projects  including  twinning  between  Algerian  and  British  universities,  benefiting from the British experience in terms of excellence in the quality of teaching, mobility of  researchers  and  students  on  both  sides,  cooperation  in  the  fields  of  science  and research and encouraging the visibility of Algerian universities. In this regard, He was chosen by the british Embassy Magazine, Education Attaché of the Year 2023 for the MENA region.

Mr Salhi is a graduate of the National School of Administration of Algiers (ENA) and of the Diplomatic and International Relations Institute  of Algiers  (IDRI), and holds a Master’s degree (Magna Cum Laude) in International Public Law from the University of Algiers.
