Professor Dr. Ger Graus OBE

Professor Dr Ger Graus OBE is a renowned figure in the field of education. He was the first Global Director of Education at KidZania, and, prior to that, the founding CEO of the Children’s University. In 2019, Ger was invited to become a Visiting Professor at the National Research University in Moscow, Russia. He is a Board Director at Hello Genius, USA, and an Adviser at Twin Science, Turkey; The Insights Family, UK; and Verofax, UAE.

Ger Graus moved to the United Kingdom in 1983 where he began his teaching career at Taverham High School, Norwich, and then moved to Winifred Holtby School, Hull, as Head of the Modern Foreign Languages Faculty. He later became an Education Adviser, a Senior Inspector, and Director of Education.

Dr Graus is a member of Junior Achievement’s Worldwide Global Council; chairs the Beaconhouse School System’s Advisory Board, Pakistan; advises the Fondazione Reggio Children, Italy; and has been invited to help shape the future of education in Dubai as a member of the Dubai Future Councils.

Ger is also a frequent keynote speaker at some of the world’s leading education conferences, including GESS Dubai; Bett London; CIIE, Mexico; EdCrunch, Russia; Innovate, USA; LEAP, Saudi Arabia; TEDx, USA; YGA, Turkey.

In the 2014 Queen’s Birthday Honours List Ger was made an Honorary Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to children. In 2018 he received the Global Education Leadership Award at the World Education Congress, India.

In his book ‘Natural Born Learners’, author Alex Beard says: “In learning terms, Ger Graus is Jean-Jacques Rousseau meets Willy Wonka.”
