Lilac Alsafadi is the president of Saudi Electronic University, Member of the Board of Directors of Tatweer Educational Technologies Company (TETCO), Member of several advisory boards for start-up companies, and a member of a global think tank specialized in artificial intelligence.
She held many academic and practical leadership positions in several governmental and private organizations. She worked on many National Transformation initiatives as well as several Saudi Vision 2030 initiatives in the areas of work system, economy and planning, investment and trade, and education.
She has served as the Vice-President of Microsoft Arabia, Director of the Technology Incubator at Riyadh Tech Valley, and Supervisor of the Entrepreneurship Center at King Saud University. She is a co-founder of Digital Data Solutions Company.
She is the author of over 50 scientific papers and participated in dozens of international conferences. She holds a master’s degree and doctorate in Computer Science, specializing in data science and artificial intelligence. She is the first Saudi woman to obtain a doctorate in computer science.
