Dr. Ra’ed Awdeh is a visionary technology leader with over 30 years of experience in technology, higher education, business, industry, research and development, and team management. He holds a BSc, an MSc, and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Kuwait University, University of Colorado at Boulder, and Queen’s University, respectively.

Dr. Awdeh spent twelve years as the Vice Chancellor for Technology Development at Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU), Dubai, UAE. During his tenure, he introduced innovative leadership and cutting-edge technologies that enabled the university to advance its mission, create learner-centric EdTech solutions, and fully migrate to the cloud.

Prior to joining HBMSU, Dr. Awdeh spent nine years at Nortel Networks in Canada and the USA, holding various technical and leadership positions. He also spent six years as a computer engineering faculty at the University of Sharjah and the American University of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. In addition, he served as the executive director of ICT at the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization in Jordan for two years.

Currently, Dr. Awdeh serves as an Advisor for EdTech at the Higher Colleges of Technology in the UAE. His extensive expertise in technology, education, and leadership has made him a sought-after consultant and thought leader in the field.
