The organizers of this year’s Gulf Education 2015 have received huge interest and many inquiries regarding this year’s GE Awards which will take place on 18th March at the event’s Gala Dinner.
Traditionally the Awards have recognized the valuable contribution made by global education providers and strategists to the education sector, but following big demand, this year’s Awards will be more focused with the organizer’s and Gulf Education Advisory Board committing to individual categories for all to enter.
These include The Most Effective International Partnership (both education based and education/commercial orientation); The Most Outstanding Entrepreneurial Project; The Most Innovative Advance in Teaching Employability Skills; The Most Effective Scheme in Motivating Academic Staff to Engage with the Employability Agenda; Innovation in Education for the Special Needs Sector.
Within the people categories, there are three awards; Education and Global Leader Award; Lifetime Achievement Award and Distinguished Contribution Award in the Gulf Region.
Organizers are asking that the nominations should detail how the success has been achieved; the judging criteria will place focus on the team’s skills in planning, the processes employed, and the people who led these projects, as well as the final results and performance. Illustrations of these and an insight into the overall passion for excellence applied will contribute heavily to the final scoring by the Judging Panel.
“This year we hope to give recognition to progressive and innovative institutions, training centers and employers who are striving to make advancements in their teaching programs; resources and facilities; student and/or employee recruitment; and their academic and training positioning.”
Said Abdelkhaligh Mohammed, Event Director.
“We would like to encourage as many nominations as possible and are aware that there are numerous individuals within this sector, who are striving and succeeding without the recognition they deserve.”
Following the announcement that the event will be held under the Patronage of H.H Sheikh Nayan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development of the United Arab Emirates and Ministerial Delegation, the focus has heightened on the forthcoming event which this year will take place between 18-19th March. The organizers received intense demand and have moved the event from its birthplace of London, and will be held at the Dusit Thani Hotel Abu Dubai.
The two-day event is expected to draw a high attendance of educational dignitaries from a number of countries in the region, including pioneers, leaders, and practitioners from all over the globe.
With a promising line up of speakers, dynamic content, and plenty of opportunity for discussion this year’s event and awards promises to provide a strong hub for education providers, academia, potential employers and vocational training entities to network, share knowledge, initiate productive partnerships and recognise excellence in their own and each other’s work.
